Bill joined Fitzgerald & Taylor law firm in 1971. He became a partner in 1978 and currently holds the Senior partner position, which he has held since 1996. He also worked as Assistant District Attorney from 1975-1977.
Bill is a member of the Cortland County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Bill currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Cortland Regional Medical Center. He also serves on the Board of Directors at First National Bank of Dryden. He is a member of the Cortland Breakfast Rotary Club.
Bill’s current areas of practice include Corporate Law, Commercial & Residential Real Estate & General Civil Litigation. He serves as examining counsel for Stewart Title Insurance Company and Public Abstract.
Bill is well-known for his sense of humor and ability to make others laugh. He is a very proud father and grandfather. Bill is a huge sports fan and his favorite teams include Syracuse University basketball, Cleveland Browns and New York Yankees.
